Lessons
Private lessons focus solely on YOU, the customer. Our instructors can create a tailor-made lesson plan for you that addresses your motivations, learning style, and learning pace. Many reasons exist for taking private dance lessons but they usually fall into two main groups: competitive dancing and social dancing. If you have always wanted to participate in the exciting world of competitive ballroom dancing, lessons will be more tailored to developing the proper technique and learning flashy choreography. On the other hand, if you are looking for a broad introduction to the most popular dances, steps, and proper technique including how to lead/follow, social lessons would be better.
If you are worried about scheduling, then private lessons are perfect because you can schedule your lessons at times that are convenient for you, unlike group dance lessons which are largely scheduled on set days and times. We have both afternoon and evening availability, and some on Saturdays, so there is plenty of time for scheduling lessons. This is also a wonderful option for those worried about Covid exposure. We only schedule a certain number of lessons on the floor at a time so there would be very limited exposure on a private lesson.
Another benefit of private lessons is that students typically make faster progress because of the one-on-one instruction. This individualized, hands-on process enables the instructor to identify your strengths and weaknesses in order to provide customization in greater detail.
The fastest and best method for progressing in your dancing would be to use the 3 step method - Privates, Groups, and Practice Sessions.

-
In the middle of enrollment in a series, if you have to cancel, we do require 48 hours notice of cancellation.
-
Many of our Specialty Series classes are not pro-rated. If you have to miss a week, that lesson is not transferable to the next session.
We have minimum enrollment that must be met for classes to commence. These decisions are based upon enrollment at the start of the series which is why we cannot have students cancel on a week to week basis. Thank you so much for your understanding!
